Functional medicine aims to identify and treat the underlying causes of disease rather than focusing solely on alleviating symptoms. Here we consider the body as a whole and not as a collection of independent organs, each of which is treated by different medical specialties.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Functional medicine focuses on personalized treatment that takes into account the individual’s specific constitution, lifestyle and environmental factors. This often includes a detailed examination of diet, lifestyle, genetic factors and exposure to environmental toxins.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

We use conventional medical practices together with alternative and integrative therapies. Diagnostic tests can be more extensive than usual in conventional medicine in order to obtain a comprehensive picture of a patient’s state of health.
